FAQ - 常见问题
Why should the coated tablets not be chewed?
Enzymes are proteins that would normally be altered by stomach acid and thus become ineffective. Therefore, all coated tablets of our enzyme preparations have an enteric coating to protect the active ingredients, so that the enzymes are only released in the small intestine. Chewing, dividing or crushing the tablets would result in the preparations being absorbed in the stomach, which would only make sense in the case of digestive disorders.
Why should enzyme preparations not be taken with meals?
The enzymes in our preparations are protein-splitting enzymes. If taken together with food, they would split the proteins in the food and use up their activity in the process. Intact absorption of the enzymes, which is a prerequisite for their immunological effect or support, would then no longer be possible. Therefore, it is important to take it at least 30 to 60 minutes before or at least 90 minutes after a meal, except in cases of indigestion.
What should I bear in mind when using it before and after operations?
Due to the slight blood-thinning effect of enzymes, enzyme preparations should be discontinued about four days before a planned operation. As soon as the postoperative bleeding observation has been completed and the surgeon/treating physician confirms that there is no longer a risk of postoperative bleeding, enzymes can be taken again.
Is it necessary to take a break from taking enzyme preparations or can they be taken for years?
Enzyme preparations can be taken for a long time without interruption.
Can enzyme preparations be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
The use of enzyme preparations during pregnancy and breastfeeding should be considered critically, as there is insufficient experience to date. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking or using them.
Side effects and interactions
Everything that works usually has side effects. The following applies to enzymes of plant and animal origin: in patients with serious blood clotting disorders such as those that occur after taking medicines (e.g. Marcumar) or in the case of congenital disorders (haemophilia), enzymes should only be taken under constant medical supervision. Extremely rarely, incompatibilities can occur. People who are allergic to one of the active substances contained in the enzyme preparations, for example, should refrain from using these products.
Dose
In shock therapy: up to 3 x 5 dragées per day.
In maintenance therapy: 3 x 3 dragées per day
In prophylaxis: 3 x 1 dragee per day or 1 x 3 dragees per day
(always 30 minutes before meals!)
Keywords for diseases:
A "core competence" of enzymes lies in the regulation, support and acceleration of reactions in inflammations. By helping to break down cell fragments and exudates and improve microcirculation at the site of inflammation, the proteases and lipases have anti-inflammatory, anti-oedematous and ultimately analgesic, i.e. pain-relieving, effects. The fibrinolytic effect of the enzymes also protects against plaque formation/thrombosis in the vessels, the always feared side effects after operations or injuries. In the USA, for example, professional boxers are obliged to put themselves under "enzyme protection" before and after fights in order to avoid or reduce complications after injuries. Since most pathophysiological processes, from haematoma to joint pain to cancer, are attributed to inflammation or at least accompanied by inflammatory processes, enzymes can be used in a very large number of diseases. The following is an exemplary selection of indications in which enzymes can be used with great success.
1. sports injuries
2. inflammation of the joints - arthritis
3. arteriosclerosis
4. phlebitis and thrombosis
5. multiple sclerosis
6. inflammations of the ENT + rhinitis, laryngitis and bronchitis - here also nicely combined with Thymowied® N and as injection therapy with Wiedemann homeocomplex A or alternatively Wiedemann homeocomplex I
7. inflammations of the urinary bladder tract
8. after surgery and during convalescence
9. cancer
10. ageing processes

Dear customers,
a little info on the side: our product Alho Arthrosan is now called Alho Arthro ;-)
And for those who have already come back from their holidays and still want to be sporty or are on holiday here, a little tip from us:
What do you think about hiking from the picturesque Ambach to the Easter lakes?
In about four hours you are in Iffeldorf where you can stop for a bite to eat, e.g. at Café Vitus or at the Hotel & Landgasthof Osterseen or in summer at the Seemadames...
By the way, a tip from our employees: www.dieseemadames.de!
The tour leads directly along the lake (approx. 7 km), starting from the "Erholungsgelände Ambach", then via Seeshaupt to Iffeldorf. The relatively easy hiking route - also by bike - can be mastered almost continuously on flat terrain, passing villas from the turn of the century and old farmhouses.
You can find interesting information about the Osterseen here: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osterseen
And finally: Would you like to make a detour to GUT AIDERBICHL - known as Tier-Gnadenhof?
Have a nice holiday and best regards
Your Wiedemann team

Thank you for being there!
It was nice at the congress!
We got to know nice people, talked shop with the therapists and exchanged ideas with the aspiring alternative practitioners - we keep our fingers crossed for the upcoming exams!
And attached is a small excerpt from our company history, so that you can learn more about us: Wiedemann Pharma is a traditional family business. Since its foundation in 1972, Wiedemann Pharma has been responsible for homeopathy, enzymes, phytopreparations, the development and distribution of homeopathic herbal active ingredients.
The founding and development of Wiedemann Pharma is closely linked to the Wiedemann health centres and vital hotels in Germany and abroad. In the middle of the 1950s, the clinic headquarters (Wiedemann Sanatorium) was built in a scenic setting in Ambach on Lake Starnberg.
Regeneration and revitalisation therapies were primarily carried out here using biological-natural remedies.
Dr. Fritz Wiedemann, the founder, was one of the first in 1951 to make the idea of regeneration known in Germany, to develop appropriate preparations, to further develop them and to make them accessible as therapy in clinics and practices. The therapy and the drugs used met with great acceptance among patients and, consequently, among established physicians and alternative practitioners.
After the transformation of the founding company Wiedemann KG into Wiedemann Pharma GmbH in 1982, the product range was further expanded by the approval of new preparations (injection and oral preparations).
With a product range of over 19 drugs, 12 dietary supplements and 3 biological anti-aging cosmetics, Wiedemann Pharma provides naturopathic treatment options for the following areas of application, complaints and deficiency symptoms: Anti-Aging - Calming / Sleep disorders - Circulatory disorders - Enzyme deficiency - Colds / Flu - Cardiovascular diseases - Deficiency symptoms / Improvement of general well-being - Regeneration (Wiedemann regeneration therapy) - Rheumatic diseases / Musculoskeletal system - Injuries / Inflammations - Vitamin deficiency
Have a look around on our homepage and on facebook - we have a lot to offer!

Dear customers,
there is a lot to report: since a few weeks you can visit us on Facebook and get in contact with us. Every week we would like to be up to date and give you important information and useful (excursion) tips, but also the personal page of our company ;-)
Further information for our therapists: On 6th of July 2019 you can visit us at the Heilpraktiker-Kongress des Südens in Munich in the M.O.C.. We are looking forward to a personal conversation with you!
In addition, we have designed a poster based on the "Homoeosiniatrie":
Homeo-acupuncture - using the synergies of homeopathy and acupuncture
Home acupuncture, also known as homeosiniatry or injecto-acupuncture, is a combination of acupuncture and homeopathy that has proven itself in naturopathic practice.
In this naturopathic treatment, the doctor or alternative practitioner injects the patient with a homeopathic medicine into acupuncture points. The application is similar to an acupuncture treatment, but instead of acupuncture needles, cannulas are used to inject the homeopathic remedy into the acupuncture point.
The special feature is the new elaboration: the selection of the preparations, which are matched to the acupuncture points, by Dr. Elle Nagel, an experienced doctor and long-standing Wiedemann therapist.
Enzymes in practice - a success story
already 5000 B.C. the Sumerians use the effect of enzymes from yeasts and bacteria for the production of beer and bread as well as cheese, even without knowing exactly what the active substances are actually about.
Enzymes from the gastric juice of birds of prey were used in ancient times to protect larger wounds against germs and to accelerate the healing process. In the Middle Ages, people used to make cheese with labkraut, a native plant rich in rennet ferment (ferment = another word for enzyme).
Scientific studies of modern times have shown that proteases from plants, e.g. bromelain from pineapple and papain from papaya, as well as protein-splitting enzymes of animal origin, such as trypsin and chymotrypsin, are particularly suitable for the treatment of inflammatory diseases in humans.
A short excursion into pharmacology
The administration of enzyme coated tablets has been shown to increase the total proteolytic activity of the serum (measured in F.I.P. units). Since this is a desired change in the entire body - the enzymes are transported via the bloodstream into all organs or tissues - it is also referred to as systemic enzyme therapy. In contrast, enzymes can also be used on the spot: here the technical term "local enzyme therapy" is used - for example with our Enzym-Wied® cream for topical application. Soon in a new design!
One question should be of particular interest at this point: Enzymes are proteins! How do these proteins, which are absorbed via the mouth, get to the place of action without being digested first in the stomach or small intestine?
In order to answer this question, investigations with radioactively labelled enzymes were already carried out in the 1960s. These studies showed that the proteases are largely absorbed by the organism in unchanged form, i.e. undigested, provided they survive the acid environment of the stomach and reach the small intestine unharmed. For this purpose, all hydrolases contained in Enzym-Wied preparations have been and still are surrounded with a gastric juice-resistant coat that dissolves only in the small intestine and releases the active substances there - keyword: galenics, in the previous chapter.
An important note: Enzyme-coated tablets should be taken about 30 minutes before meals for the reasons mentioned, because otherwise - despite all galenics - they would "sink" in the food porridge.
After absorption through the mucous membrane of the small intestine, the active substances are bound to transport proteins in the blood (α2-macroglobulins) and distributed in the organism via the blood circulation. Losses can also occur here. The enzymes work as tools per se also in very low concentrations, since they - as explained above - come out unchanged from every reaction, but the total amount has to be converted to the whole organism!
To be continued...
